Rocky Road Candy Bars

Perhaps an often over looked offering of chocolate candy bars is the shiny red, green and gold of Annabelle’s Rocky Road Candy Bars. Rocky Roads are nothing but a delicious chunk of marshmallow covered in chocolate mixed with pieces of cashew.

I had my first Rocky Road this weekend as my boyfriend bought it for me proclaiming it to be his favorite childhood candy treat. I enjoyed the gold wrapped dark chocolate version while he did a flashback with the green wrapper dark chocolate mint version.

What can I say about the Rocky Road? It delivers what it promises, mouthfuls of marshmallow (yum) and dark chocolate. The downside to the cashews is because they are so finely chopped and mixed into the thin chocolate coating you almost can’t tell they are there. I have yet to taste the red wrapper encased milk chocolate version, but as a marshmallow and dark chocolate fan, pairing the two together could only equal a tasty chocolate candy experience.
