The Lindt Excellence line of chocolate candy has some unique flavors and today’s feature is the Touch of Sea Salt version. Yes, salt and chocolate. All I need is some bacon and I’ll have the most ultimate chocolate bar EVER made. The only problem being a combination like that would surely overload the senses and cause something to explode. So in order to avoid this catastrophic event, I’ll just stick with the sea salt, thanks.
Lindt’s A Touch of Sea Salt
Packaging
The slim packaging makes for a nice compact bar with a dark blue field and some sea salt crystals. Simple and to the point.
Appearance
The chocolate candy’s surface is smooth with a little shine. The textured top makes for easy and clean break apart pieces. The interior of the bar doesn’t show giant sea salt crystals, which means that the salt is nicely blended within, so I do not have to fear a pocket of salt. Which without caramel, is a legitimate fear.

Taste
The dark chocolate base is high quality, smooth, creamy and not bitter at all. That’s no surprise coming from Lindt. It’s that sneaky salt taste that gets in there that really makes the bar. I could eat this whole bar within a single sitting, easily. The dark chocolate is creamy at first with a nice dark chocolate bitter finish and the sea salt crunches just a little bit, providing a great mix of salty and sweet.
If you have the opportunity to try the Lindt Touch of Sea Salt, do it. It’s completely worth it and you’ll almost wish you had bought two bars!
