It’s already January 16th, less than a month until the day dedicated to receiving a box of chocolate candy arrives: Valentine’s Day. Sure the stores had boxes of candy already lining the shelves on December 26th, but is that really the message you want to send your chocolate loving sweetheart? “Here, I was at the drugstore and I saw these 4 month old chocolates and thought of you.”
For shame. I know my sweetheart won’t be handing me an affront to the chocolate candy society on the appointed day. And neither should you.
So until the big day, besides chocolate candy reviews, rants, raves and weird news, I’m going to scour the net for ideas for Valentine’s Day chocolate that goes beyond the Target.
Today’s featured merchant of chocolate: Patchi Chocolate.
Yeah, I have a banner on my site for them. You know why? Because I LIKE them. Here’s why:
Patchi Chocolate are not just regular chocolates, they are miniature works of art. Who else has golden Jordan Almonds that not only make you feel like a queen, but eat like one too? Don’t like almonds? Then go for the shimmering blue pastel pistachios.
I’ve used them for for gifts, they have an entire section of decorated chocolates that require no other work on your part other than to order and give.
And my all time favorite, the build your own box of chocolates from their gourmet chocolate collection. Each chocolate is indiviually wrapped and each one is a great quality of chocolate. The best looking is the chocolate covered almond in a pear shape and is the Croquet. The Croquet is a rich milk chocolate with almond, rice krispies, hazelnut and almond pieces, which you would think would be overwhelming in combination, but wasn’t. My least favorite was the Pause Cafe, but I suspect that has to do with my ultimate pickiness in coffee flavored chocolates.
