Cost Plus World Market has their own line of chocolate bars varying in flavors from regular milk chocolate to chipotle chili to green tea, as evidenced by what we have today. As someone who likes to drink green tea, but hates the ice cream (or anything really flavored by green tea) this will be an interesting experiment to see if chocolate really can make anything palatable.

World Market Honey & Green Tea Milk Chocolate Candy Bar

Packaging
The paper is printed to look like paper, which I find a little silly, I’m sure it’s a cost thing, but it still seems silly. It’s probably also because of the “all natural” claim on the wrapper.

Appearance
The whole block is very clean looking with neat square and the occasional imprint of a cacao pod on a square. It smells very sweet and almost a little sharp at the same time. I definitely detect something different about this one.

Taste
The chocolate is firm, yet soft and the honey flavor definitely comes in at the end in a sweet finish as described on the wrapper “smooth, milk chocolate with a hint of Green tea flavor and a Honey sweet finish.”

The Green tea is definitely a hint, I can tell it’s there, but the honey finish is what carries it through so that I don’t hate it. I don’t think I’ll reach for more next time I’m at Cost Plus, the milk chocolate tends to overpower that hint of Green tea as well, which means that I could just grab a regular milk chocolate bar and drizzle honey on it for a truly decadent and fun chocolate candy bar.
