Frey Supreme White Blueberry
18 Sep
Technically by definition white chocolate is not chocolate since it doesn’t contain the right percentage of ingredients to be considered chocolate (think the chocolatey coating lie) it’s not really fair to hold it in comparison of milk chocolate. Especially since Frey makes such a good milk chocolate!
In continuing coverage of this Frey Supreme Swiss Chocolate Candy Bar Countdown, the white chocolate is good, it’s creamy, not waxy, melts on the fingers like milk chocolate does (though not as bad as the Japonais bar, I was able to eat this at room temperate) but it’s almost hard to pick out anything other than that. The reason being that the blueberry that flavors the bar is far more overpowering on several layers. The white chocolate in this case is simply the vehicle in which to deliver the blueberries to your mouth.
At first smell I thought of Post’s Blueberry Morning cereal. It had the same kind of processed or dried blueberry scent. Upon first bite though I found that not only was this bar loaded with blueberry flavoring and bits, but a very sweet aftertaste from the bits that get stuck in your molars. It’s a little reminiscent of Flintstone vitamins but not as chalky or bitter.
Blueberry is packed into each and every nibble, so if you like dried blueberries or artificial blueberry flavoring than this chocolate candy bar is the bar for you. If you’re like me and love fresh blueberries, it’s just not that good.
Currently in the Frey Supreme Chocolate Bar Countdown the rankings stand at:
1. Pear and Caramel
2. Japonais
3. White Blueberry
I need to make a trip to Target it seems. I’ve run out of bars!

Target no longer sells Frey candy bars and I need my White Lemon and Lime! Do you know anywhere else that sells Frey bars or where I can order them by mail? Thanks.

It’s odd that Target simply stopped carrying them, I haven’t seen them in stores in a couple of months now. Their site is of little help also. My next best guess would be an import store like Cost Plus. I tried to look on some of the big candy stores online and no luck. There is a contact email on the Frey site that might be worth reaching out to.
