Wendy Mahr down in Miami, Florida has launched a line of jewelry that features real chocolate malted milk balls in necklaces, earrings and rings. Sound too good to be true? Or fake? It is real and it is edible! The milk balls have edible gold leaf applied to then and are strung on wires or with chains and the owner claims to have worn the pieces out in the sweltering Miami heat without them melting all over her.
If you choose to eat your new jewels or they do eventually melt, you can send the components back to Wendy and for $45 they’ll string the blank wires with real jewels like pearls. Prices range from $40 to $85. Check out the online chocolate malted milk ball jewelry store here.
