As with all good things, they must come to an end and this includes the Chocolympics. We’ll still continue to pit chocolate candy against each other like siblings trapped in a car on a road trip, but it’s time to hand out the medals and head home.
For those that don’t remember, the Chocolympics had three events: Hershey Bar relay, Snickers Showdown marathon, Battle of the Bite Sized Bits triathlon. These were all tests of endurance, perseverance and out and out taste. So who came out on top? How do we decide?
We let the crowd decide.
With 1,723 visits, the gold medal goes to: Snickers Showdown!
Silver medal with 600 visits: Battle of the Bite Sized Pieces
Bronze medal with 56 visits: Hershey Bar Relay (d’oh!)
We will now rise and play the national anthem of Snickers: Sweet Child O’Mine by Guns and Roses.
…….
Of course at any time our competitors could add to their totals, but the when the content is over, it’s over. Just wait for 2010 Vancouver. Where mint chocolate candy, coconut and toffees rule.

Re 2010 – don’t forget Nanaimo bars!! Dare I say it’s the national dessert of Canada?
