No one really likes crumbly soda bread. And although corned beef is delicious, it is not actually Irish — it’s technically Irish-American (I know – I broke yer Irish heart). Despite the rumors that authentic Irish food is terrible, the Irish did bring something tasty to the table: Whiskey.

Chocolate + Baileys brings a new meaning to cocoa heaven.

Chocolate St. Patty’s Day Desserts with Baileys

The “mmm”azing chocolate whiskey cake

This St. Patty’s Day, pass by those green-frosted cupcakes in favor of this chocolate-whiskey cake. No one wants to “kiss me I’m Irish” when they have bluish-green teeth from frosting overload. Thanks to Bay Area Bites for telling us how to make this easily transportable bundt cake that’s refreshingly not dyed green.

St. Patty’s Day gifts for crazy Irish relatives

Every Irish person has a few wild Irish relatives (ahem). These relatives have no qualms about dressing like a leprechaun, dying their undies green, and putting a thousand shamrock stickers on their windows.

If you need an impressive St. Patrick’s Day gift for your Irish family and don’t want to bring them another case of Guinness, check out these 25pc Handmade Guinness & Baileys Irish Cream Truffles. These truffles rock both the shamrock and the Irish flag. Erin Go Bragh! (Translation: Ireland Forever!).

Irish Up Your Hot Chocolate

Too old for car bombs? (Hint: you never are!) Add Irish to your hot chocolate and then go sit in your rocking chair. Put one shot of Baileys Irish Cream into a coffee mug and then fill with Nestle’s hot chocolate, prepared with milk. Top with whipped cream and add a shamrock coffee stirrer.  St. Patrick’s Day party for one.
